Denel denies that Parliament was misled. Please note that the Denel presentation to Parliament never said that Denel Asia was initiated by Mr Saloojee. In his presentation to the Board on the 10th September 2015, Mr Saloojee presented the idea for Denel to expand into Asia, requesting the Board to authorize him to pursue the formation of a company with a strategic partner. The Board gave him approval as requested. That is how Denel Asia came about. Please check the Presentation given to Parliament on Wednesday 11 May 2016. If you listen to the recordings of the presentation or go through this presentation - on the 12th slide you will find this fact. Both Parliament and the PMG website will have a recording of the presentation to Parliament.
